About

Why I made this

I’m just a stressed dad looking for ways to manage.

For a long time I looked at tools and strategies. Apps, routines, bits of kit. But I was starting with the tool, not the problem.

Then I noticed that my stress wasn’t one big thing. It was lots of little things adding up.

What I wanted

I wanted to see the whole collection clearly. Drop the ones that weren’t mine. Add the ones that were missing. Then pick them off one by one, by giving each a strategy.

Cards turned out to be the simplest way to do that. So I built StressDecks.

StressDecks is made by StrongerKinder.com.

Who it’s for

It’s for people who want less stress and a smoother day. It isn’t for tackling the big issues in your life.

I built it for me, but anyone is welcome to use it. It’s free.

What it isn’t

It isn’t tested, and I can’t prove it works. It’s based on reading, research and my own experience. You use it at your own risk.

If you’re struggling, please talk to your doctor or someone you trust.

Where the idea comes from

The term “microstress” comes from Rob Cross and Karen Dillon, and their book The Microstress Effect. It’s well worth reading. Find the book

StressDecks isn’t connected to them. It’s just my way of working with the idea.

What’s next

Sharing. I want people to be able to make their own sets of cards and swap them with others. That part is still being built.
