Stress isn’t one thing, it’s a collection.

StressDecks turns that collection into cards, so you can deal with it one card at a time.

Three kinds of card

  • Stressor cards. The small things that cause you stress. “Phone about to die.” “Deciding what’s for dinner.”
  • Strategy cards. Things you can do about a stressor, either before it happens or while it’s happening.
  • Setting cards. Where and when a stressor turns up: the place, the activity, the day, the time.

Build your deck

You start with a ready-made set of stressor cards.

Go through them. Keep the ones that are yours and put aside the ones that aren’t. If one is missing, write your own.

What’s left is your deck: your stress, laid out where you can see it.

Match a stressor with a strategy

Pick one stressor. Give it a strategy card.

Some strategies stop the stressor before it starts. Others help you handle it in the moment. A stressor can have more than one strategy.

Every stressor card has a small label that shows how many strategies it has. A zero means it still needs one.

Add a setting

If a stressor only shows up in certain places or at certain times, add a setting card. They can help you see it coming.

Keep going

The stressors don’t disappear. But each one you match is one you’re ready for.

There’s no deadline. A card a week is plenty. Your deck always shows how many are still unmatched.

Sets from other people

Soon you’ll be able to browse sets made by other people, add them to your collection, and share your own. That part is still being built.
